Robotics & AI Program
Preparing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers through Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and hands-on STEM learning.

Technology literacy for tomorrow's leaders
At Van Houston Academy, we believe that technology literacy is essential for the next generation of leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers.
Our Computer Science, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence Program introduces students to the exciting world of technology through hands-on learning, creative projects, and real-world applications.
Hands-On STEM Learning
Students do more than learn about technology. They build, code, test, improve, collaborate, and solve meaningful problems through projects designed to develop confidence and innovation.
A complete journey from curiosity to innovation
From elementary exploration to advanced high school courses, Van Houston Academy provides a clear pathway for students to grow in Computer Science, Robotics, and AI.
Elementary School
Students build curiosity through age-appropriate robotics activities, coding challenges, engineering projects, and creative STEM exploration.
Middle School
Students expand their STEM skills through programming, robotics design, engineering principles, automation, and project-based problem-solving.
High School
Students prepare for the future through deeper study of Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, and real-world applications.
Building curiosity through exploration
For elementary students, Robotics is a built-in elective designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for STEM.
Through age-appropriate robotics activities, coding challenges, and engineering projects, students develop foundational skills while having fun.
Inspiring Young Innovators
Our goal is not simply to teach technology, but to inspire students to ask questions, explore new ideas, and develop confidence in their ability to create and innovate.
Annie was selected as one of the winners of our writing contest, "Who Is Your Favorite Teacher?" In her essay, Annie shared why Mr. Rahman, her Robotics teacher, is the best teacher. She described how Mr. Rahman makes learning exciting, encourages students to think creatively, and inspires them to solve problems through hands-on robotics projects.
Expanding STEM skills
As students progress into middle school, they begin exploring more advanced concepts in Computer Science and Robotics.
Courses focus on strengthening analytical thinking while introducing programming, engineering principles, and technology-based problem-solving.
Students gain experience in:
Through project-based learning, students learn how technology can be used to solve real-world problems while preparing for more advanced coursework in high school.
Preparing for the future
In high school, students have the opportunity to explore Computer Science, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence in greater depth.
Courses emphasize practical skills, innovation, and emerging technologies that are shaping the future workforce.
Students may study:

These experiences help students build valuable technical skills while preparing for college majors and careers in high-demand fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Technology Entrepreneurship.
Students demonstrating excellence beyond the classroom
Van Houston Academy students have demonstrated excellence beyond the classroom. Our Robotics teams advanced to the FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge and FIRST® LEGO® League Explore International Open, joining nearly 200 teams from around the world to showcase their STEM knowledge and innovation.
Van Houston Academy was proud to be one of only three schools representing Texas at this international event. These accomplishments reflect our commitment to providing students with meaningful STEM experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and a passion for lifelong learning.
Helping students become creators, innovators, and leaders
From elementary robotics projects to advanced high school Computer Science and AI courses, Van Houston Academy provides students with a comprehensive pathway to develop the skills needed for success in a technology-driven world.
We are committed to helping students become creators, innovators, and leaders who are prepared for the opportunities of tomorrow.
